Diaper Cakes??

Diaper Cakes??

Alicia, a former high school art teacher, is the brains and creativity behind Diaper Cakes by Ali. She came up with the idea for her business after her daughter was born and wanted a creative outlet she was passionate about while she stayed home with little Ella.

Passion? Creativity? Diapers? CHECK.

With over 37 diaper cake designs to choose from, including boy , girl ,neutral , eco-friendly, sports and even breast cancer awareness themes I dare you NOT to find something that makes you go "AWWW!" All cakes are available in 2, 3 or 4 tiers with a myriad of customizable options. Ali is always available to her customers through email or phone until you're satisfied with the perfect cake for the expecting mom in your life. She has stock of Gund stuffed animals (which truly are the best stuffies ON. THE. PLANET. I still have mine from 1986.) Sassy and Bright Start toys and Johnson & Johnson baby products. Size 1 &2 Pampers swaddlers make up most of her cakes, while Seventh Generation diapers are used in her eco-friendly cake.

Although Diaper Cakes by Ali is based out of Indianapolis, she ships her custom orders anywhere in the world. Wrapped in diamond netting tulle (which hello, my wedding veil was made out of) I'm guessing whoever receives the cake will have an awfully hard time unwrapping it and actually using it.

Ali also has a separate blog where she dishes on not only her own cakes (did you catch that pun?) but hands out all sorts of practical advice on everything from friendships to baby shower ideas. There's even a post up now that hints at another upcoming specialty on her cakes, customizable lettering . SO STINKING CUTE.

I'm so done with giving clothes as a shower gift. With Ali's cakes starting at $25 I'm going to be showing everyone up by showing up with one of these at showers from now on.
