Every parent has one thing they never want to do again when it comes to the raising andrearing of children. For some it's labor, for some it's those first six weeks, for some it's teething and for me? Potty training. I'd rather give birth to a dozen 10 pound babies in arow than potty train again.
My daughter would be completely stoked about going potty, seven minutes later she wanted nothing to do with the thing. OY.
I tried stickers, I tried M&M's and while I don't want to admit this, I came *thisclose* to shipping her to Atlanta where a friend promised she could have her potty trained in aweekend. Needless to say there are a lot of desperate parents out there willing to try anything to get#1 and #2 where it needs to go.
Joe Viglietta is no stranger to potty training woes. That's why over the last couple of year she has developed the he turned potty struggles into a game complete with its own fight song.
That's right, it's a potty chair emblazoned with your Alma mater and every time your child flushes? YOUR SCHOOL'S FIGHT SONG.
Currently there are three schools available, University of Maryland, Indiana University and BYU. This is where I get off track for a moment, you'd better believe I'll be writing to the University of Utah to get in on this potty chair business, not only can Utah beat the Y at football and basketball, but Utah kids can totally beat BYU kids at potty training. *ahem*
A Utah Man am I.
Where was I? Oh, yes.
Don't have an Alma mater you feel passionately about? The chairs are completely customizable with your own image (a favorite toy perhaps?) and your own personal message. While I was on Skype last night with some friends in Texas we started talking about what sounds and images would win our kids over when it came to using the potty. Without even thinking my friend's husband said he'd record the sound of his motorcycle AND take the potty chair down to a friend that does airbrush work and have him paint it with FLAMES! and WHEELS! My kid would have been happy with me singing some sort of potty cheer every time she did what needed to be done. But that's what's fantastic, it's completely customizable.
Varsity Baby will be unveiling their Flush and Cheer Potty for the first time and the Indy Baby Expo April 25th and 26th, so stop by, record a message and see how stoked you canget your child about taking that giant (money saving) leap out of diapers
